Opposite of Loneliness

Marina Keegan was an extraordinary young writer and family friend who died in a car accident 4 days after graduating from Yale. On the eve of her commencement, she published a powerful essay, The Opposite of Loneliness. To honor her life, cut short way too soon, I sent her essay to the NY Times and posthumously pitched her story as a candidate for Person of the Week on World New Tonight. We worked to get her writing made into a book and when it was published orchestrated the press campaign. This book is in its 14th printing and has become a bible for young people moved by her authentic, fearless spirit.
